SALT’s shopping complex boasts chic boutiques and bars, while the South Shore Market offers a wide selection of island-themed attire and unique finds. Their monthly Pa'akai Market features various vendors selling handmade jewelry, clothing, and plants.
Ala Moana Center offers more options for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Things to Do
Visit Ala Moana Regional Park, a sprawling 100-acre park that not only features a myraid of open space perfect for picnics but also a stretch of man-made beach that allows guests to partake in swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing activities. The park also hosts weekly yoga classes. Another great outdoor gathering place is Kaka'ako Waterfront Park, whose grounds are home to miles of sparkling oceanfront, an amphitheater home to numerous live music performances, and flat, open spaces perfect for picnicking, biking, and jogging.
Attend any one of Kakaako’s cultural events throughout the year to socialize with fellow neighbors and friends. Festivals like Eat the Street provide the community with an assortment of fun activities. Chefs from all over Oahu flock to Kakaako Gateway Park on the last Friday of every month to showcase their culinary talents. On the third Saturday night of every month, The Honolulu Night Market transforms the area into a hub for cuisine, live music, and premier shopping.
